My story

Piñatas by Chi started in my parents living room in 2015. I was always a crafty girl growing up. My parents were pretty strict growing up and me being a bored teenager I would start crafting whatever came to mind. I’m not sure how it started or when it came to me but I wanted to make a piñata. So I googled and Youtube and with trial and error I learned how to make a piñata. And that unlocked my imagination to so many different designs I could make. Next thing you know I started making piñatas for friends and family and then I start thinking I can actually start selling my piñatas! I started making business cards and applying to small pop ups. Out of all of the pops up I don’t think I ever broke even. I couldn’t understand why nobody wanted to buy my piñatas. I would even leave my business cards at random businesses hoping someone would like to buy a piñata. There was no Tik Tok or no Instagram so getting your business out there was hard. It was either do pop ups to get some exposure and pass out your business cards or just word of mouth, it was hard. But I had a vision and didn’t want to give up on the vision. I had full time jobs and would make piñatas on the side. Then instagram came and Tik tok followed. I posted regularly trying to get the most exposure that I could and after a couple of viral videos my social media accounts started blowing up. It took me years and years of never giving up and quitting my job 3 times to purse piñatas full time and it finally started to come together. So here I am. Continuing to grow my business and making the coolest, cutest, most unique piñatas for everyone to enjoy.
